The Art Collector

I find that it's always a challenge to design a room around a client's art collection.  However, in this particular job, I fell in love with the pieces we were using for this living room.   I intentionally chose a strong neutral palette of warm browns and greens to make the room feel cozy but not detract from the art it self.  With a high ceiling and glass doors all around, the room needed to be anchored, so we chose this amazing Swedish style hutch that was custom made in Indonesia.  The piece holds a lovely collection of urns, books, a statue of Buddha, pottery, coral and shells and other finds.  The coffee table is an antique Chinese bench.  All upholstery fabrics are Rogers & Goffigon.
